With what must be one of the best locations near Amalfi, just a 10 minute walk, or a short ride in the hotel's shuttle, from the centre, the Miramalfi is ideally located, for those with or without a car.

With panoramic views of Amalfi, the hotel perches on a cliff top, towering above the sea. It has a modern elegance, which is enhanced by its beautiful, panoramic views, in almost every direction. It is constantly being improved and updated and gets better every time we visit. The most recently renovated dining room has been decorated in cool blues and sunny yellows, giving that fresh Mediterranean feel. The whole room is light and airy, with masses of glass and a terrace, to take full advantage of the views. Dinner and breakfast are served here, and on the terrace in summer months (usually June to September), and the cuisine is generally inventive and interesting, and half-board is particularly good value for money.

Mediterranean colours and stylish furnishings also give the bedrooms a bright and airy feel. Superior rooms have a jacuzzi bath with shower and are a little larger than standard rooms, (we particularly recommend superior rooms, as these have been most recently refurbished). Junior suites and suites are particularly spacious.

The swimming pool has been sculpted into the rocks to cleverly match the shape of the cliff above it! Similarly, bathing platforms, way below, give access to the sea and spectacular sunbathing spots. L’Angolino, the Miramalfi’s small, terraced restaurant, by the pool, serves excellent snacks and lunches and has proved to be particularly popular with guests. This is a great place to relax.

We must also mention the charming barman (and sometimes receptionist), Alfonso, who is a cheery, friendly face and always does his best for guests – he smiles constantly! In fact, the hotel has been run by the Mansi family for over 50 years and they set great store by customer service, so all of the staff are attentive.

This really is a beautiful spot and a lovely hotel, and a great favourite with us all.
