Sister hotel to the Villa Maria and owned by the same family, the Giordano is more modern, but not lacking in any of its charm. Beautifully designed, its crisp, elegant interior, antique furnishings and paintings contrast with the simple and stylish décor, to give it real individuality.

The rooms have been tastefully furnished and many of them overlook the pool towards Ravello’s main square and the lovely countryside, beyond. Others overlook the pretty gardens, or mountains. Some of the standard rooms have a balcony, and some of the superior rooms have a large terrace.

The hotel’s lovely, large swimming pool is on a terrace, where breakfast can usually be taken, when the weather is good. As the Giordano and the Villa Maria are owned by the same family, guests can use either hotel’s facilities. Dinner is taken at the Villa Maria, which seems, to us, to be a particularly good arrangement, as it has a very good reputation for the quality of the food, service and the wonderful atmosphere – especially when you can dine outside, overlooking the bay. The gentle stroll, about five minutes up a stepped path, does wonders for your appetite, and gravity helps, on the way back down!
